Learning at TMIMS is through mix of various methodologies which makes a student, not only conceptually and intellectually sound but also make him / her confident in facing corporate world.
TMIMS actively follows Benjamin Bloom’s revised taxonomy for teaching, learning and assessment.
- Level 1 : Remember & Understand
- Level 2 : Apply & Analyse
- Level 3 : Evaluate and Create
Keeping in mind the three levels given by Bloom, following methodologies for teaching are used at institute to make the students acquire KSA: Knowledge, Skills and Attitude essential to be successful in the corporate world.
Learning through Classrooms Sessions:
Interactive sessions, where teaching and learning are two sides of a coin, encourage students to participate with valuable faculty inputs. Group discussions, assignments, case studies, role plays, simulation games and presentations are integral part of the learning process in the classrooms.
Learning through Projects:
Students are put to work on different course projects of short duration to help them in developing analytical and soft skills and get hands on understanding of various management concepts/functions. In addition to course projects, the students are required to undergo Summer Internship, Multidisciplinary Action Project and Comprehensive Project.
Learning through Industrial Visits:
Industrial visits are organized to make the students conversant with the industry environment and learn through observation.
Learning through Technology:
We ensure optimum use of educational technology to support, facilitate, and enhance learning, performance, and instruction delivery.
Learning through Co-curricular and Extra-curricular Activities:
TMIMS Student Club functions with a broad objective of personal and institutional development through extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.
Activities of student club are meant for the overall development of the students. To complement the curriculum, students organize, manage and participate into various activities that enhance their academic knowledge, innovation and creativity, improve their skills and build a committed attitude towards professionalism and team work.
Many students driven activities are carried out throughout the year through students’ club. It includes extra-curricular activities like managing various institute level and state level events like district / state level multi talent competition, social initiatives, active participation in corporate and alumni relations management to name a few. Students club also manages co-curricular activities like book review, movie review, group discussion / debate, budget discussion, mock interview, soft skill training and IT training. These activities help students to understand the different dimensions of professional, personal and social life they have to live. As a result of these, they are able to make their presence felt in university, national and international platforms.
Students get all required support from faculty members, experts, alumni and peers to excel in their life. Students cherish these two years at TMIMS and carry with them unforgettable memories for the entire life.
